Yangshuo is popular across China for being close to several scenic areas. There are some beautiful karst landscapes around Yangshuo that are excellent to visit. These areas can be visited either by bike, river cruises or by trekking. The Yulong River valley is one of the best places to visit. Visitors can take a river cruise along the valley and get the best views of the sites. The cruise takes you along several bridges and farming villages.
Another beautiful area to visit is the Yangdi-Xingping scenic area. This area stretches around the Li River and is among the best known places to visit in Yangshuo. A raft cruise is the best way to see this area. Towards the south of Yangshuo is the Moon Hill another popular place to visit. The hill with a big hole is the main attraction in the area. Travelling further south the Assembling Dragon Cave is also a mesmerizing place to visit. The area is known for its stalactite and stalagmite formations. Within the city the Sanjie Liu Above-Water Park and the Yuzi Paradise are the best place to have fun.
All around the city there are several shops where visitors can find authentic Pashmina scarves, pottery, silk items, scroll paintings, etc. Visitors should not feel shy and bargain to get the best price.
The closest airport to Yangshuo is the Guilin Liangjiang International Airport. The aiport is about 84 Km away and it takes around 1-1.5 hours to reach the city by road. The easiest way to get to Yangshuo is by hiring a taxi. A one-way trip to Yangshuo can cost around 260-400 CNY. Buses are also available from the airport but travellers have to change a bus to Guilin to get to Yangshuo.
Yangshuo has a small Muslim community and visitors can find a couple of halal places to eat in the city. There is a halal noodle shop located opposite to the bus stand in the city. There is also an only vegetarian restaurant;the Pure Lotus Vegetarian Restaurant on Die Cui Lu.
There are no mosques in Yangshuo. The closest mosque to the city is in Guilin about 84 Km away.
