Da Lat is a wonderful destination to spend some time in. Known for its cool weather and beautiful scenery, Da Lat has attracted visitors from the olden times. The area served as the summer retreat for the last emperor Bao Dai King. The city is located around the Xuan Huong lake, which is about 5Km in diameter. Another unspoiled scenic area is the Ho Suoi Vang or the Golden Spring Lake. The Lang Biang Mountain is easily accessible and is a adventurous 3 hour hike.
The Thung Lung Tinh Yeu or the Valley of Love is located about 5Km from the city and is a popular stop for visitors. The area is a great place for canyoning. There are several lakes in the surroundings of the city like the Lake of Sorrow and the Tuyen Lam Lake. The Prenn Falls also makes a wonderful site to visit.
Dat lat is a great destination for shopping. Visitors can shop for silks, strawberries, coffee, artichoke tea and lots of handicrafts. The DaLat market is the best place to shop in the city. The Nguyen Thi Minh Khai and Le Dai Hanh also have markets for shopping.
Da Lat is served by the Lien Khuong Airport, which is located about 30Km from the city. There are taxis available from the airport to the city. Shuttle buses are also available from the airport. The airport caters to domestic flights.
Alternatively visitors can arrive at the Ho Chi Minh International Airport and take a bus from the city to Da Lat. The bus ride takes about 7 hours and a one-way ticket costs around 230,000 dong.
It would be hard for you to find Halal Restaurants in Da Lat as there are very few of them. One of the Halal restaurants that you can visit would be Kampung Pandan, which is also available in Ho Chi Minh City.
