Da Nang is a beautiful city that is thoroughly modernized. In the downtown area one can see numerous glittering skyscrapers. The downtown area has been developed around the riverfront promenade. The area comes to life in the evening when youngsters throng the area. Most of the visitors come to Da Nang do so to visit the beautiful stretch of beach and explore the Marble Mountains.
For those interested in the history of the area the Cham Museum is a great place to visit. The museum features the largest collection of Cham artifacts. The Ho Chi Minh Museum features a museum about Ho Chi Minh. The China Beach is a great place to have some fun under the sun. There are several seafood restaurants located along the beach. The Marble Mountain and Monkey Mountain also are good attractions to visit.
Da Nang offers numerous street markets where visitors can find local art and craft items and also homewares, clothes and shoes. Some places that are good for shopping in Da Nang are Hoang Dieu, Hung Vuong and Phan Chu Trinh.
Da Nang is served by the Da Nang International Airport, which is located about 3Km from the city center. Ideally a one-way taxi fare to downtown costs between 50,000 to 70,000 dong. Metered taxis are also available at the airport and visitors do not need to haggle with them.
There is just one halal restaurant in Da Nang where travellers can enjoy delicious food; the MumtazIndian Restaurant. The restaurant is located on Tran Phu Street and offers authentic Indian food. There are several other vegetarian and seafood restaurants where visitors can find a few items to eat.
