Mui Ne is a beautiful stretch of beach surrounded by attractive resorts and eateries. The area is best known for water sports. Though not as popular as Nha Trang and Hoi An, but when these areas experience rainfall, the waves come swelling at Mui Ne making it a favorable destination for surfing and other water sports. The best time for surfers to visit Mui Ne is between August and December. Windsurfers can have fun between the months of October and April.
The sand dunes on the main coastal road are worth seeing. These sand dunes also protect the micro climate of the region. The Po Sha Inu is a landmark in the area and depicts the Cham culture. The tower is thought to be built in the 8th century. At the northern end of the Mui Ne Bay is the market and the fishing harbor, the area can be quite interesting. There is a small river the Fairy Stream that meanders through bamboo forests and boulders and dunes creating a vision similar to the Grand Canyon.
There are several shops located across the Mui Ne strip. From clothing to knick-knacks and souvenirs, there are several things that can be found in these shops. Some good things to buy in the area include pearl jewelry and wooden and lacquered bowls.
The nearest major airport to Mui Ne is the Tan Son Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh City. From Ho Chi Minh City visitors can take an air-conditioned bus to Mui Ne. the entire journey takes about 5-6 hours. A one-way ticket costs about 105,000VND. The buses usually depart from the Pham Ngu Lao area in the Ho Chi Minh City.
There are no halal restaurants n Mui Ne; but visitors can find a few places that serve vegetarian food and seafood. Tam Phuoc – BoDe is a good option for vegetarian food in the town.
