Dusit Palace

Dusit Palace in Bangkok - which was formerly known as Wang Suan Dusit or Dusit Garden Palace - is a massive complex of palaces, mansions and throne halls constructed in European-style during 1897 to 1901. The complex was built in 1903 by King Rama V - who is considered to be one of the greatest kings of Siam. Numerous structures make-up the Dusit Palace and some of its prominent sites include the Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall, Vimanmek Royal Teak Mansion, Suan Hong Residential Hall, Abhisek Dusit Throne Hall, Tamnak Ho Throne Hall, The Royal Carriage Museum and The Royal Elephant Museum. At present, Dusit Palace is a major landmark and extremely popular attraction amongst travellers and tourists in Thailand.
