One of the top attractions in the city of Islamabad, and a great place to take kids, is the Pakistan Museum of Natural History. Also a popular tourist site, this museum focuses on the ecology, geology and paleontology of Pakistan. Offering numerous things to see, the Pakistan Museum of Natural History is a fun attraction for the entire family. There are countless fascinating displays housed in the five galleries found here, namely the Bio Gallery, the Tethys Gallery, the Gemstones Gallery, the Eco Gallery and the Palaeo Gallery. The Eco Gallery is also known as the Children's Discovery Room and is a must-visit when at the museum.

Even if Muslims visiting the Pakistan Museum of Natural History are unable to find prayer facilities within its premises, they are sure to locate several mosques in the area surrounding the attraction. Since Pakistan is a Muslim country, there are mosques located all over the city. Islamabad’s most popular mosque is the Faisal Mosque.
