A trip to the National Museum of Scotland when in the city of Edinburgh is an absolute must. Said to be one of the top museums in the UK, and one of the most visited in the world, the National Museum of Scotland offers so much to do and see; thus making it an attraction great for the entire family. While here, visitors will come across an array of over 20000 fascinating artifacts and exhibits on the natural world, world cultures, art and design, science and technology, archeology, Scottish history and ancient Egypt amongst many others. The Natural World gallery is one of the museum’s more popular galleries and consists of the Animal World gallery, the Adventure Planet gallery, the Earth in Space and the Restless Earth gallery. The exhibits found at the museum are educational and interactive, making the museum ideal for adults as well as children.

Although Muslims visiting the National Museum of Scotland will not be able to find prayer facilities within its premises, they will be able to locate a number of mosques and Islamic Centers in the city of Edinburgh, such as the Edinburgh Central Mosque, the Blackhall Mosque and the Annandale Street Mosque.
The Balcony Café, the Tower Restaurant and Museum Brasserie are all located within the museum’s premises. While Muslim visitors will not find Halal certified food at any of these establishments, they are sure to find vegetarian and seafood dishes suitable for Muslims. Finding Halal food in the city of Edinburgh will not prove to be a problem due to its sizeable Muslim population.
