The beautiful island of Sentosa is located just 15 minutes away from the city centre and is visited by millions of travellers throughout the year. With its name derived from the Malay term for "peace and tranquility", Sentosa Island spans across an area of over 5 square kilometres and is located just below the southern coast of Singapore. The island offers numerous attractions and places-of-interest ranging from beautiful pristine beaches to themed attractions to lush rainforests to award-winning spa retreats and accommodation options. An abundance of flora and fauna also thrive on the island which is home to several native species of monitor lizards, monkeys, peacocks, amongst other creatures.

Though plenty of dining options is available on the island, it is recommended that visitors enquire about the availability of Halal food. Visitors could also bring along a few snacks with them from the main city or pay a quick visit to a few of the Halal restaurants in the city centre, which is just a short distance away.
