For golf enthusiasts, the Awana Genting Highlands Golf & Country Resort offers the perfect getaway. Established in 1986, the Awana Genting Highlands Golf & Country Resort - designed by Ronald Fream - is located within the Genting Highlands Resort and is positioned at an elevation of over 3000 feet above sea-level. The 18-hole championship golf course is the ideal location to practice your swing while taking in magnificent views of the surrounding greenery and basking in the sublime cool mountain climate. Guests are advised to dress in proper golfing attire - collared t-shirts and golf shoes (jeans will not be allowed).
For walk-in guests, green fees cost around RM80 for 9 holes and RM150 for 18 holes during weekdays. On weekends, green fees would be around RM120 for 9 holes and 220 for 18 holes. Extra charges apply for additional facilities.
Tee-off times are 7:45 a.m. - 9:37 a.m. for the morning session; 1:00 p.m. - 2:52 p.m. for the afternoon session; 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. for the morning crossover time and 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. for the afternoon crossover time.

Plenty of private area is available and can be used during prayer times. It is also possible to use the prayer room facilities offered at the First World Plaza or the mosque in the city – the Masjid Qariah.
It is recommended that visitors inquire about the availability of Halal food at cafes and restaurants in the vicinity of the Awana Genting Highlands Golf & Country Resort. Visitors who are willing to travel could visit some of the Halal restaurants in the main city centre which are available in abundance. Tandoori items and Malay delicacies are amongst the popular local fare.
