A great place to spend the entire day outdoors is Parque la Bateria, or Battery Park. Located on a hillside, the park once was a military barracks due to its unique position that allowed the Malaga coastline to be protected. Since opening as a public park in 2007, Battery Park is considered a gem in Torremolinos. The park covers an area of about 74,000 square metres and is home to numerous attractions like a 15 metre high tower, a variety of beautiful plants and trees, picnic areas, a large artificial lake, wartime cannons and so much more. Visitors can climb the spiral staircase of the fort to experience incredible views of Malaga. Those interested can even rent boats to maneuver around the lake.

There are no known prayer facilities in Parque La Bateria. Muslim visitors will therefore have to find a clean, quiet place in the park to offer their prayers, or they will have make use of the facilities offered at the Masjid Al Momin; known to be the main mosque in Torremolinos.
There is a café at the park, as well as a few machines that dispense a variety of snacks. Muslim visitors can stick to vegetarian and seafood options while here, or they can visit one of the few Halal restaurants in the city, like Raj Mahal and Tele Shawarma Pizza.
