Also known to be one of the most beautiful parks in Germany, the English Garden is home to winding streams and an artificial lake, along with over a hundred bridges and a wide variety of lush greenery. The park is not only a popular spot amongst locals; it is also frequented by tourists. Known to be bigger than New York’s Central Park, the English Garden gives visitors the chance to take leisurely strolls amongst the beautiful natural landscape, as well as enjoy a picnic, and even offers them the opportunity to surf, on one of the park’s streams. The park is also located close to some of the top attractions in Munich, including the Bavarian National Museum and the Munich Residenz.

There is a sizeable Muslim community in Munich, which means that there are a couple of mosques in the city. The Sendling borough of Munich and the neighborhood of Ludwigsvorstadt both have a few mosques. Muslims visiting the park can therefore either ask to be guided to one of these prayer facilities, or they could find a quiet space in the park to offer their prayers.
There are several Halal restaurants in the city of Munich. These establishments are known to serve a wide selection of Indian, Pakistani, Turkish and Afghan cuisine. Muslim tourists will be able to locate these Halal restaurants without much of a problem as most eateries that are Halal sport Halal signs on their windows.
