The main green area of the city of Strasbourg, the Orangerie Park, is a wonderful place to go with the family when in the city. Located close to the council of Europe, this 26 hectare park offers visitors plenty of opportunity for relaxation and fun. Home to a mini zoo with a stork enclosure, a miniature children’s car track and several playgrounds, the children will have plenty of activities to keep them entertained. Other leisure facilities on offer for visitors include bowling and billiards. The lake also provides visitors the opportunity to enjoy some excellent boating while at the park. Tourists visiting the park will surely enjoy a leisurely stroll through the park and may even want to try some waffles or pancakes sold in the little kiosks in the park ally. They could also dine at the popular restaurant housed in the old half timbered house dating back to 1885.

Muslim tourists looking for prayer facilities while at the park may not find a mosque within the park; however they may be able to offer their prayer in a quiet area in the park. They will also find a number of mosques located in the city of Strasbourg that are frequented by its residents and visitors.
Although the park is home to a number of restaurants and food outlets, they may not serve Halal cuisine that is required by Muslim visitors. Muslims visiting the park could however choose to dine on vegetarian or seafood dishes after ensuring non-Halal items are not added in the dish.
