The iconic Vieux Port, or Old Port of Cannes, located adjacent to the famous Palais des Festivals, is a must-visit when in the city. Also known as Port Cannes I, this Old Port draws in tourists all year round. It is one of the oldest on the Côte d'Azur and overlooks Cannes’s Old Town. While here, visitors will be able to experience fisherman coming to shore after a long day of fishing, and selling off their catch to nearby restaurants. They will also be able to observe and marvel at the luxurious yachts docked here. The port is known to host internationally renowned events all through the year, making it worthy of a visit. The International Festival de la Plaisance and the Royal Regattas are also held here, in September.

While Muslim tourists will not be able to find a prayer room at the Old Port, the city of Cannes is home to a couple of mosques at which they can offer their prayers. While at Vieux Port, Muslim visitors can ask the locals to direct them to the closest mosque or prayer room.
There are plenty of restaurants located close to the Old Port, but these restaurants may not serve Halal food. Muslim visitors can either make inquiries regarding the location of the closest Halal restaurant to the port, or they can dine on seafood and vegetarian dishes at one of the restaurants nearby.
