Half Moon Beach

 Tourists wanting to enjoy a fun outing to the seaside when in the city of Al Khobar should head out to the coast, south of the city, along the Half Moon Bay, where there are numerous beaches that are mostly family only beaches. Visitors will find some of the beaches rather well developed; with many of them having cabana style shaded sitting areas and showers. The water throughout this area is clear, shallow and calm, with very little waves and no tide at all and is quite safe for swimming and other water related activities. The beach also draws a crowd from its neighboring cities, with many visiting frequently to enjoy water sports, fishing and various other activities. One section of the beach has sand dune hills, where plenty of thrill seekers can be seen scaling the dunes in their ATVs. This is one of the most popular activities in the area. Visitors will find a part of the beach even has a park with fun rides for the entire family.

Those looking to find Halal restaurants when at the Half Moon Beach will be able to locate some restaurants close by although not throughout the beach. The restaurants here are situated only on one end of the beach. Also, since all food outlets are Muslim-friendly, finding interesting dining options will not be a problem when in Al Khobar.
