Pinang Peranakan Mansion is a sumptuous mansion that once belonged to Kapitan Cina Chung Keng Kwee - the founder and administrator of modern Taiping. The mansion reflects the rich opulence and grandeur of the residences belonging to wealthy Chinese immigrants who assimilated into Malay culture and symbolizes the colourful legacy of Straits Chinese culture. Whilst proudly displaying the unique elements of Chinese architecture, the mansion also shows hints of European and Malay design influence. Thousands of antiques and collectibles are on display inside. A guided tour explaining the features and history of the mansion is offered to visitors twice a day.

Though designated prayer room facilities might not be available within the mansion itself, visitors could go to one of the mosques located in the near vicinity. It is also possible to request for a private area that can be used during prayer times.
