The beautiful beach stretches are popular amongst both locals and tourists alike and are loved for its bright sunny skies, powdery golden shores and gentle turquoise waters. Plenty of accommodation options will be available around the beach area due to its popularity as a tourist spot and visitors to the beach will also be offered numerous shopping opportunities - ranging from souvenirs and gift items to a wide range of garments and textiles. The Wadduwa beach is located not too far away from several other famous beaches along Sri Lanka's west coast such as the Kalutara Beach, Beruwala Beach and Bentota Beach, and is ideal for visitors who wish to avoid larger crowds.

Plenty of open space will be available around the Wadduwa beach area to make use of during prayer times. There are no mosques in Wadduwa and Muslim travellers who wish to visit a mosque may have to visit some of the mosques in nearby towns such as Panadura, Bandaragama and Kalutara. Some of the most prominent mosques close to Wadduwa include the Jhishtiya Mosque, Thakkiya Mosque and Atulugama Jummah Mosque in Bandaragama as well as the Eluwila Jummah Mosque in Panadura.
There are few Halal food options around Wadduwa and Wadduwa Beach and Muslim travellers looking for a prominent Halal restaurant may have to head towards the nearby town of Kalutara which is home to an abundance of Halal restaurants – particularly along Mosque Road. Kandoori Restaurant and Sathira Food Center in Mahamewunawa are two popular Halal restaurants in Kalutara.
