Muslim travellers looking for a mosque in Maenam will have to visit the Masjid Nurulihsan which is the only mosque in Ko Samui. It is located a short distance away – about 15-20 minutes away from Maenam. It is also possible to enquire locals for a private area that can be used during prayer times.
Though there are quite a few eateries and food stalls at Maenam Walking Street, access to Halal food may be limited. However Muslim travellers could opt for food such as corn-on-the cob and other vegetarian snacks which are hot favourites amongst locals. For more Halal food options, travellers could visit the Halal restaurants around Mae Nam that offer local delicacies and seafood.
