John–Suwan Mountain View Point is one of the most prominent attractions in Ko Tao and is visited by travellers and tourists throughout the year. Named after two land owners named Suwan and John who discovered the point, the area offers spectacular panoramic views of the Chalok Baan Kao and Thian Og bays in the distance. A climb to the top will take a few minutes and can be reached via a small forest trail in front of the Freedom beach resort. The path may tend to get a bit narrow towards the end and travellers may have to squeeze through a few spots. It is also advised that travellers carry insect repellent with them as mosquitos are to be expected.
