Located a few kilometres away from Yangshuo, Moon Hill is a prominent rock formation featuring a natural arch with a hole through the hill. The area is a popular tourist attraction and is visited by travellers who wish to climb to the top of the arch - which generally takes around 20 minutes or more. Numerous rock climbing routes are available, making Moon Hill a must-visit spot for outdoor enthusiasts. The rock itself measures up to over 200 metres in height and is located across the Jingbao River. Visitors to Moon Hill will also be offered spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes and be provided with numerous photography opportunities as well.

Plenty of open space is available out in the open, though designated prayer facilities at Moon Hill will not be available for Muslim travellers. Travellers will also have to keep in mind that there are no known mosques in Yangshuo and the nearest mosques to Yangshuo are in the city of Guilin, about 80 kilometres away.
Though a few eateries will be available around the area, access to Halal food may be limited. Though vegetarian options may be available, it is highly recommended that you enquire about how food is prepared prior to dining. Muslim travellers may visit a few of the Halal restaurants which are available in the city. The halal noodle shop opposite the bus stand is a popular Halal food spot amongst the small Muslim community in the city.
