Mount Xuedou is located about 40 kilometres north of Ningbo city and is a popular tourist attraction in the area. It is the tallest peak of the eastern fringe of the Siming mountain range and offers spectacular views of the landscape in the distance - particularly the Tingxia Lake in the distance. It is part of the Xikou and Mount Xuedou Scenic Area which cover a total of nearly 40 square kilometres. In addition to the Tingxia Lake, several attractions such as the Shanshui Ancient Temple, Native Place of Jiang Jie-shi and Secluded Valleys and Waterfalls are located in close proximity and are well-worth a visit.
