Spanning across an area of over 30 acres, the Alchemy Lake is scenic natural attraction located in Tianzhu area of China. Measuring up to 13 metres in depth, the capacity of the lake is estimated to be as much as 80,000 cubic metres and the lake is also positioned well over 1,000 metres above sea level. The history of the lake dates back to the Eastern Han Dynasty, when a founder of alchemy practiced around the area and prepared various medicines at the lake. Several peaks such as the Flying Peak, Perfect Moon Peak, Bead-holding Peal and Lion Peak are also visible and offer fantastic views of the surrounding landscapes in the distance. The area is a famed attraction and is visited by locals and tourists alike, to experience the enchanting atmosphere of the area.

Though designated prayer facilities near Alchemy Lake are unavailable, plenty of open space is available in the area for Muslim travellers to make use of during prayer times. The Anqing Mosque is the main mosque around Tianzhu and is located in the Anqing City.
Halal food near Alchemy Lake will be unavailable and it is recommended that Muslim travellers bring some of their own food or snacks along with them when visiting the attraction.
