Osaka's most modernistic and dramatic architectural landmark leaves an awe-inspiring impression on first-time visitors. Comprising two immense 40 storey towers that are connected in midair at the very top, the Umeda Sky Building soars 173 metres into the sky and is located in the Kita-ku area of Osaka. The connecting bridge at the top features a rooftop observatory - also known as the Floating Garden Observatory - that provides fantastic 360 degree views of the entire city of Osaka, as well as the Awaji Island in the distance. An urban garden with winding pathways and water features is located at the base of the building while the basement of the building comprises of an underground market set in the ambience of early Osaka.
The usual ticket price for an adult costs around ¥700 and around ¥300 for children.
The observation decks are open from 10:00 a.m. - 10.30 p.m., with admissions closing at 10:00 p.m.
