Fairy Lake Botanical Garden is located in Shenzhen, towards the east suburbs of the city. Spanning across an immense area of over 2 square miles, the botanical garden was built in 1983 and is presently one of the most famous attractions for visitors who are sight-seeing in Shenzhen. Fairy Lake Botanical Garden is home to over 7,000 different species of plants and offers a rich variety of flora. It comprises 17 different gardens such as the Rare Plant Garden, Shade Plant Garden, Bamboo Garden, Peach Garden, Desert Landscape Garden and Aquatic Plant Garden, with each area offering different types of fascinating plant species. The landscape of the Fairy Lake Botanical garden is also made up of a number of different areas namely - Paradise on Earth Area, Lake Area, Temple Area, Desert Landscape Area, Fossil Forest Area and Pine and Azalea Area. For nature lovers, the Fairy Lake Botanical Garden is definitely worth a visit!

Though designated prayer room facilities at the Fairy Lake Botanical Garden will be unavailable, there is plenty of open private space that can be made use of during prayer times. Muslim travellers may also visit some of the mosques near Fairy Lake Botanical Garden such as the Shenzhen Mosque and the Meilin Masjid Shenzhen which are the two main mosques in Shenzhen.
