Located in the centre of the medieval city of Kilkenny, in the former stable yard of the iconic Kilkenny Castle is the well known National Craft Gallery. This leading centre for contemporary craft in Ireland boasts a plethora of craft exhibitions and programs, and aims to showcase Ireland’s craft sector as well as International designers. The crafts found at the gallery feature textiles, pottery, ceramics, glass, jewelry and a more. The impressive exhibits found here are sure to catch the attention of visitors of all ages. Visitors also get the chance to see first-hand the crafts being made, and they will also be able to purchase some craft-based items.

Also, due to the sizeable population of Muslims in the city, there are a few Halal restaurants.
