Praia de Dona Ana or the Dona Ana Beach, located just walking distance from the center of Lagos, is one of the most picturesque and therefore one of the most photographed beaches of the Algarve region. The popular beach is surrounded by majestic golden cliffs and crystal clear waters, with golden sand in the middle. Its natural beauty and calm waters draw in locals and tourists alike. Visitors have a variety of options while here; they can relax on the beach, take a refreshing dip in the beautiful water, or they can explore the mysterious rock formations that loom over the beach. The cliffs also offer stunning views of the blue sea and the surroundings, making it a must-visit at sunrise or sunset. For those looking to enjoy some water sport activities, there are opportunities to sail, parasail, water-ski and so on. While here, visitors must also make it a point to visit the lighthouse, which offers breathtaking views of the rock formations, the sea and more.

The rock formations
The rock formations Muslim tourists will not be able to find prayer facilities at the Praia de Dona Ana, nor will they be able to locate any mosques or Islamic Centers in the town of Lagos. Muslim visitors will therefore have to find a secluded place on the beach to offer their prayers, and if unable to, they will have to return to their hotel rooms at prayer times.
There is a good variety of cafés situated at the top of the cliff. While visitors will have a plethora of options, Muslim tourists will have to dine on suitable seafood and vegetarian dishes, as non-Halal ingredients are sure to be used in most dishes. There are also no known Halal restaurants in the town of Lagos.
