Parque Zoológico de Lagos or Zoo Lagos is a favorite destination amongst families and is a must-visit when in the town. Home to a wide variety of mammals, birds, reptiles, fish and plants, from all around the world, the zoo attracts tourists and locals alike. Visitors not only get to see numerous fascinating species, they also get the chance to educate themselves on how to conserve and protect the animals. Meerkats, marble-eyed lemurs, channel-billed toucans, white-nose guenons, ground hornbills, crowned cranes, owls, tortoises, iguanas and chimpanzees are only just a few of animals, birds and reptiles found at the zoo. Parque Zoológico de Lagos also houses a petting farm which is ideal for kids, as well as a playground.

The different animal and plant species
While Muslims will not be able to fine prayer facilities at Parque Zoológico de Lagos, they may be able to locate a clean and quiet area within the attraction to offer their prayers. Since there are also no mosques in the town of Lagos, if unable to find a secluded area, they will have to return to their hotel rooms at prayer times.
