Visitors to Fira should definitely pay the quintessentially Santorininian town of Oia a visit to experience what is considered to be the most beautiful sunset in the world. While Fira, the Santorinian capital offers fabulous ocean views as well as beautiful sunsets, Oia’s breathtaking views and stunning sunsets are the most famous Santorinian attractions that draw tourists at dusk. Located at the northern end of the Caldera, Oia, with its clusters of whitewashed houses with blue shutters and domes, maze of narrow streets lined with small shops and cafes, is what most tourists picture Santorini to look like. In fact this beautiful town is the most iconic landscape in Greece and tourists in Fira should not miss out on experiencing Oia’s spectacular ocean views and its renowned sunset. The Naval Museum housed in a restored neoclssical mansion might be worth a visit when in Oia.
