Situated to the northeast of Kitzbühel is the important Austrian mountain peak, the Kitzbüheler Horn. This popular attraction can be reached via a toll road from Kitzbühel, by cable car and gondola lift or a four-hour climb from the town center. On reaching the summit, visitors will come across a chapel, a house and a restaurant. They will also be met with breathtaking views of the jagged crest of the Kaisergebirge; to the north, the Lechtal Alps; to the west, the Hochkönig; to the east and will be able to see from the Radstädter Tauern to the Ötztal Alps; to the south. Located on the slope of the Kitzbüheler Horn are numerous mountain inns, as well as the Alpine Flower Garden. The Kitzbüheler Horn is popular amongst hikers, during the summer, and skiers as it offers a variety of rails and ramps.

Muslims visiting the town of Kitzbühel will not be able to find any mosques or Islamic Centres, nor will they be able to find prayer facilities at any of the town’s attractions. Visitors to the Kitzbüheler Horn will therefore either have to offer their prayers outdoors, in a secluded place, or they will have to return to their accommodation at prayer times.
As mentioned above, there is a restaurant at the summit of the Kitzbüheler Horn. Muslim visitors will have to dine on suitable vegetarian or seafood dishes here, as the restaurant is sure to serve non-Halal dishes. Muslim tourists will also not be able to find any Halal restaurants or cafés in the town of Kitzbühel.
