An ideal place to start touring the city of Thessaloniki is Aristotelous Square; the most central square in the city. Located at the point where the sea meets the land, Aristotelous Square has an interesting history and is one of the most famous places in the whole of Greece. This top tourist attraction boasts several important buildings, a statue of Aristotle, a 5-star hotel, as well as a number of cafés and restaurants, and is thus also a popular spot for the locals. The impressive square is also where the city’s central information kiosk is located. Aristotelous Square is also known to host a variety festivals, carnivals and cultural events.

While finding prayer facilities at Aristotelous Square will not be possible, Muslim tourists will be able to find a few mosques in the city of Thessaloniki, due to its small Muslim population.
