Bach Ma National Park, located near Hue is a must-visit for nature lovers and bird watching enthusiasts. Covering an area of over 35000 hectares with both a monsoon forest and sub tropical forest, this park offers some of the most stunning stretches of mountain ranges and jungle trails in central Vietnam. Aside from the native wildlife, which includes animals like the douc langur, Asiatic black bear and leopards, visitors will also be able to spot numerous bird species. With over 358 species of birds accounted for in the park, bird watchers will surely be in for a treat. However bird enthusiasts will have to visit the park very early to spot most of these birds, which include the crested Angus Pheasant, Bulbuls, Pigeons, Parakeets, Kingfisher and more. Bach Ma National Park is also known for its spectacular waterfalls, fantastic hiking trails and lush green flora. Besides enjoying the fauna and flora in the park, tourists will also find plenty of activities to enjoy, like trekking, camping and swimming. Muslim tourists will not be able to locate prayer facilities in Hue as there are no known mosques or Islamic centers in the city. Tourists visiting Bach Ma National Park might be able to find a clean and quiet area within the park to offer their prayers, or might even be able to find a suitable area in the guest house mentioned below.
Although Bach Ma National Park has a guest house, Muslim tourists requiring Halal cuisine will not find any here. Nor will they find Halal restaurants in the city. It is therefore best to take snacks or a picnic basket with suitable vegetarian or seafood options if possible, as the guest house has limited choices.
