China Beach or My Khe Beach is said to be one of the most picturesque beaches in Vietnam. The beach came to be known as China Beach when during the Vietnam War, American troops were sent here for some R&R. The 20-mile beach is covered in beautiful golden sand and the azure waters offer ideal conditions for swimming and surfing during certain months of the year. While the months of April to July are ideal for swimming, there are excellent surfing conditions from September to December. Also offering ideal conditions for sun seekers, China Beach is great for families looking to spend a day outdoors. The luxurious beach also happens to be located close to major historical sites and is in the vicinity of numerous high-end resorts. Photo by Tony Pham on Unsplash

The picturesque surroundings
Finding prayer facilities at China Beach will not be impossible. There are also no known mosques or Islamic Centres in the city of Da Nang. Muslims visiting the beach during off season may however be able to find a clean and quiet area on the beach to offer their prayers.
Since China Beach is a popular spot amongst locals and tourists, there is sure to be at least a few food vendors located around the beach. While visitors will be able to find a variety of local snacks at these stalls, Muslim visitors may not be able to find any that are Halal certified. Since most food items in Vietnam contain non-Halal ingredients, Muslim tourists need to be very careful with what they eat. There is also one known Halal restaurant in the city.
