Ho Chi Minh City’s grisly War Remnants Museum is one of its top attractions and is one of the most popular museums in the country. Formerly known as the Museum of Chinese and American War Crimes, the War Remnants Museum tells visitors the story of the long and brutal Vietnam War through fascinating displays. While not for the squeamish, this museum is great for those looking to learn about the Vietnam War. Those visiting the museum will come across numerous graphic photographs and text, along with displays of guns and other American military equipment, including eerie bomb remnants, a fighter plane, cages where prisoners were kept, a guillotine, a tank, as well as other military vehicles, and more. Since the displays here are quite horrifying, the museum is not a family-friendly attraction, and it is best avoided when with kids.
