The ideal place to enjoy a day out with the entire family when in Letterkenny is Tropical World. Located at Alcorn's Flower and Garden Centre, Tropical World offers a variety of fun things to do and see, thus making it a popular spot amongst locals and tourists alike. Tropical World features a Butterfly House and a Mini Zoo; where the Butterfly House is known to have some of the most stunning and exotic butterflies worldwide. Visitors will be able to see a variety of butterflies fluttering around freely amongst a colorful selection of plants and flowers. The zoo found here houses an equally impressive collection of animals, reptiles and tropical birds, including parakeets from Australia, lemurs from Madagascar, mongoose from Africa and tortoise from South America.

Prayer Facilities

Muslims visiting Tropical World will not be able to find prayer facilities at the attraction. They can either try to locate a clean and quiet palace to offer their prayers within the attraction, or they can visit the only known mosque in Letterkenny. Staff at Tropical World will be able to direct them to this mosque when needed.

Halal Food

Visitors to Tropical World will find Thyme Out vintage café and tearooms at Alcorn's Flower and Garden Centre. If dining here, Muslim visitors will have to stick to suitable vegetarian and seafood items since non-Halal ingredients are sure to be widely used. Visitors could also make use of the picnic area provided at Tropical World.
