The Blue Lagoon in Ölüdeniz is a nature preserve located at the foot of the hilly area of the city. The lagoon and beach area are the key attractions of Ölüdeniz and it is flocked by visitors - both locals and tourists alike - who wish to spend a few hours basking in the sheer magnificence of the surrounding landscapes. The stillness of the water has earned the lagoon its name in Turkish that translates to "dead sea" and the pristine white sand beaches, sunny skies and forest-covered mountains in the distance offer truly breathtaking views to delight any type of visitor. The area is also home to a number of restaurants, eateries and other facilities, to let visitors experience a truly amazing stay.

Though designated prayer room facilities at Ölüdeniz Blue Lagoon are unavailable, plenty of private space is available in the lagoon and beach area and can be made of during prayer times. It is also possible to visit the mosques in Ölüdeniz as well as the mosques in Fethiye which are located a short distance away.
Plenty of cafes and eateries are available at the beach area, serving Halal food. Though food being served is generally Halal, it is possible to check with the vendor or restaurant owners just to be sure. To visit more well-known Halal restaurants, visitors could head down to Ölüdeniz.
