There are domestic flights connecting Tainan to other cities of Taiwan. From July there will be 3 weekly flights from Tainan to Hongkong. (It's first international venture)
The domestic airport lost its passenger traffic ever since the inaugutation of the Tainan High Speed Rail. Passengers wanting to connect to other domestic cities in Taiwan can use the rail option incase you cannot find the flights as per your schedule.
