The Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport is the largest and the most prominent airport in Belize. The airport is about 30 minutes away from the Belize City.
The Terminals at the airport are equipped with all required facilities. The arrival hall and Terminal 1 and 2 have porter facilities.
There is a departure fee, if they are not included in the tickets of US$ 35 for Non Belizeam Residents and BZ$ 35 for Belizean Residents.
There is also an extra US$0.75 charged for Domestic Screening.
There is no known prayer room within the airport.
There is no known Halal restaurant within the airport. However, there are many cafe's and coffee shops with some vegetarian options.
Taxis are the best means of travelling to the city from the airport. There is also an airport bus service. In the arrivals lounge visitors can find desks for different car rental companies.
Parking is available at the airport.
The departure lounge has a few duty free shops including Duty Free of Belize, Galleon, International Duty of Belize and the Lauren Duty Free. You can also shop at Maya Ending at the departure lounge and Tropical Tees at the Ticketing Concourses.
