Léopold Sédar Senghor International Airport (DKR) is the airport serving Dakar, the capital of Senegal. It was previously known as Dakar Yoff International Airport before it was renamed after Senegal's first president in 1996.

The new airport is under construction. The curent airport is small and very limited flights come and go from here.

If you are travelling back from Senegal, don't arrive late thinking that it is a small airport. Sometimes emmigration work can be very slow so arrive earlier.

There are buses from the airport taking you to many important landmarks of the city.

There are also car rentals agencies available.

You can also hire a taxi cab from the airport to take you to your destination.

If you have a hotel reserved you can ask them to provide you transport.

Since it is a small airport there are not many shops within the airport. However there are souvenir, gift shops and duty free shops within the airport.
