Cochin International Airport

Description

Cochin International Airport CIAL is located in Kochi in the state of Kerala. The airport is the first airport in India to be built by a public private partnership. The airport is strategically located near all the three national highways of Kerala. Railway stations is also near to the airport. The Cochin sea dock which is one of the biggest in the country is also situated near to the airport.

The airport has 3 Terminals, domestic, international and cargo spread over an area of 4200 acres. There is a prayer room in the international Terminal in the departures hall at the upper level.

Halal Food

Halal food availibility is not known. However, there are many vegetarian restaurants and cafe's all throughout the airport.

Transport

There are AC and non AC buses available from the airport to all major location of Kochi. There is Angamaly railway station located 8 Km from the airport which you can reach by a bus. There are also prepaid and regular taxi cabs availale from the arrivals area of both the domestic and international Terminal.

Shopping

There is duty free shop spread over 2 floors covering13,000 sq.ft. Here you will get all the products from books, perfumes, cosmetics, snacks, chocolates, gifts, souvenirs and accessories. Apart from this there are also individual handicrafts, khadi and souvenir shops.
