Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport named after the 17th century Maratha Emperor Chhathrapathi Shivaji, formerly known as Sahar International Airport is the primary international airport in Mumbai, India. The airport is India's busiest airport and the second busiest airport in south asia in term of passengers traffic.

The airport is one among the few airports of the world located within the city's muncipal limits.

Mumbai's international airport has 2 terminals

Terminal 1A&B is for domestic departures, check in and arrivals.

Terminal 1C links terminal 1A and 1B. It is a holding area for passengers before departure. It also has a food court.

Terminal 2B & 2C is for international departures, check In's and arrivals.

There is a multi-faith hall located at the international terminal (near the boarding Gate No 8) 

Halal Food

There are many food outlets at the ariport. Some of them do serve Halal food. It is better to check with the food outlet regarding Halal assurance. There are also many vegetarian options.

Transport

There are free shuttle bus services availabale between the international and domestic airport which is seperated by 5 kilometres. The best way to get to your destination is to book a prepaid taxi which is available infront of the international airport's arrival area.

Shopping

There are duty free shops within the airport where one can buy gifts, books, chocolates, snacks and perfumes. 

Amenities

Free wireless internet facilities is available within the Airport.

 Passengers with special needs are catered for by reserved parking slots, ramps, lifts and bathrooms. Wheelchairs and attendants are available inside the terminals.

Money exchange counters and ATMs inside the terminals.

Railway reservation counter at the international arrivals terminal (open 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and until 2 p.m. on Sunday).
