Terminal 4 has dedicated prayer rooms for major faiths. The Muslim Prayer room is well maintained with seperate areas for males and females. However for wudhu, you have to use the common washrooms which are not very wudhu friendly. From whatever terminal, you can take the inter-terminal train to Terminal 4, which only takes 5 minutes.
The prayer room is located near the Emirates check-in counter. It is located in the public area, if you are departing from JFK, then you should pray before going through the immigration control. Jumu'ah prayer is performed here as well.
Another prayer room is located in Terminal 1 Back left corner of 2nd floor(departures)
It is claimed that the 'Eat & Go Istanbul' in Terminal 1 is Halal-assured but it is best to clarify before dining.
