Description

Portimãois a beautiful coastal city located in the Faro District in Algarve Portugal. The town was previously known as Vila Nova de Portimão. The city is best known for sporting events and conducts an annual beach soccer tournament during the summer months. The city is also known for offering sailing, power boating and motorsports. The beaches in Portimão are quite famous. The city is home to the famous beach of Algarve, Praia da Rocha. Another beach Praia do Vau is a lesser known beach but quite scenic and worth visiting.
