Description

Basel, located along the Rhine River, is among the important and better known cities of Switzerland. It is considered as the main access to the Swiss Jura Mountains and is located quite close to the cities of Zurich and Lucerne. The Rhine River meanders through the city segregating it into two parts. On the southern and western banks lies the Great Basel in the heart of which is the medieval old town.
