Tampere is an important city in Finland. Located on an isthmus connecting two lakes, the city offers visitors with several opportunities of enjoyment. Tampere is a modern and well-planned city which serves as the cultural hub of Finland. Tampere features a large number of museums attracting several visitors. The Vapriikki Museum features eleven different exhibitions including the Natural History Museum and the Shoe Museum. There is also a lovely place for children to have fun, the Moominvalley of the Tampere Art Museum.
There are numerous parks located all along the city where visitors can relax. Some good parks include the Hatanpaa Arboretum, Nasi Park, Viinikka Park and the Duck Park. The Pyynikki observation tower dates back to the early 20th century. Visitors can get a good view from this tower. The Shot tower is an old tower which is quite rare in the world. The Sarkanniemi Adventure Park and the Haihara Mansion also make some good places to visit.
Tampere also offers some good shopping. The Kauppahalli hall is an indoor market located in Hameenkatu. The Market Hall also offers some good opportunities of shopping. Tampere also has shopping malls where visitors can find a variety of things to buy. The best shopping malls in the city are Koskikeskus, Ideapark and Tullintori.
The Tampere-Pirkkala airport serves the city of Tampere. The airport is located about 17km from the city center. There are different airport shuttles connecting the airport to the city center. There is also a regular taxi service from the airport that costs around 25-40 Euros.
There are no halal restaurants in Tampere. There are a few vegetarian restaurants in Tampere where visitors can dine. Some good vegetarian restaurants in Tampere include Cafe Gopal located in Kuninkaankatu, Gopal located in Ilmarinkatu, etc.
